Chelsea Davies was one of Sporting Marvels’ first ever All-Stars having joined the All-Star Programme back in 2003 when Christiaan Welman started in Tonypandy Community College! In 2009, as an All-Star, Chelsea visited Tanzania, East Africa along with current Marvel Smithy. They ran a sports programme in the local schools and helped in the orphanages of Arusha and Zanzibar and eight months later she started as an Intern with Sporting Marvels.
A natural for the Sporting Marvels role she quickly progressed to a full-time Mighty Marvels worker during the 2010/11 academic year heading up six primary/junior schools at the age of 19. Having already completed six full years as a Mighty Marvels worker she is one of Sporting Marvels most experienced primary school workers as she embarks on her seventh academic year. Although this year she has taken a new role in being the main Comp Worker in our new school YGR Cymer, Chelsea always loves a new challenge so for her transitioning into a comp worker is a challenge Chelsea is looking forward to taking on.
She is very passionate about all of the schools and the children she teaches weekly and she loves teaching, coaching, and helping the children realise and reach their full potential. In her spare time, she enjoys playing netball for Sporting Marvels Netball. She is also enjoying coaching for the new initiative Rhondda Netball being Head Coach if the Cymer Netball club coaching and developing young girls netball skills.
