Lucy jones

Lucy is a former pupil of Ysgol Nantgwyn, formerly known as Tonypandy Community College, and she was one of Smithy’s most committed All-Stars having been in the programme from Year 7 until she finished school! It was the third All-Star trip to East Africa in February 2015 when Lucy started to show her Mar­vel potential, visiting orphanages and coaching in schools. Lucy is a natural when working with young children and her confidence is continu­ing to grow within her role in the Mighty Marvels Programme. She has been part of many successful football teams and her enthusiasm and passion for the game makes her a winner of boys too. Lucy is also an Assistant Coach at the successful Ferndale Netball Club, as well as heading up the U5’s & U7’s Rascals Programme at Fern­dale Netball Club. More recently she has taken on the responsibility of Fundraising Coordinator for the charity Heart for Africa. This charity helps makes a difference to the lives of orphans and communities in need in Tanzania, and Lucy’s deter­mination and diligence has already increased its effectiveness.
