Summer Camp 2012....each school year comes to a climactic close with what we call Summer Camp. The 2012 version was the biggest and best by far: 180 kids signing-up to three days of sun, fun and organised mayhem with sports coaching, treasure challenge and of course the not-to-be missed water day!

The Mighty Marvels Programme....an amazing 36 week course coaching values, strong character, healthy lifestyle and good citizenship to the Year 6 children (ages 10 & 11) in primary and junior schools all over Rhondda. The kids love it and so do the Head Teachers!

The All-Star Programme....operates in the comprehensive schools, starting at Year 7 (age 11) and proceeding through to Year 13 (age 18). The key goal is to “influence the influencers”, the peer group leaders, by building character and strong values. It’s transformation in action!

All-Star 2011/2012 Review....What a year! We ask a lot of our All-Star students in-school and out-of-school too. Their commitment is fantastic and they are wonderful role models for the younger children coming up behind them. We are immensely proud of our All-Star family!

Marv-watch!....The Marvels let their hair down in a Baywatch spoof produced for the All-Star Presentation Evening. We’d have liked to have sent them to Miami to record it, but Porthcawl on the South Wales coast was nearer and a little less expensive!!

Just Dance Day 2012....Our Just Dance event, held during February half-term, is proving more and more popular each year. Split into teams, the kids are taught various dance moves before adding their own ideas and then performing their routine in a competition dance-off!

The 2003/2011 “Hall of Fame”....Our first worker was South African Chris Welman who arrived September 2003. Thirty-eight Marvels have followed him into the jersey, and they’ve come from all over the world in order to part of the vision. We’re forever grateful to them all!

“Grease” like never seen before!....Chris and Becky, our full time workers at Tonypandy Comp, can always be relied on to produce great videos. Their performance of Grease along with their key All-Stars and some members of staff too, took their reputation to new levels!

Kit Photoshoot....When the new kit arrived from Sporting Marvels kit sponsors, KooGa, Phil was immediately on the telephone to his good friend and top photographer, John Newman. The result was a sensational photo-shoot, the Marvels like models on the cat-walk!
