Last week was half-term and half-term at Sporting Marvels means “Sports Days”!!
This time round, the decision was made to run our Sports Days from two venues rather than one, Ferndale joining regular, Tonypandy. 

Not even pouring rain could stop 120 adults and young people attending the greatly anticipated Sporting Marvels Question of Sport night, held at Ferndale Community School at the end of last month.  

There’s lots happening at Ferndale Community School (FCS) !

Pastors John & Debbie, presently in Tanzania on Gatehouse Church business, have built certain Sporting Marvels things into their busy itinerary.
Top of the list was signing the papers to finalise Sporting Marvels official registration in Tanzania.

While in Tanga, Tanzania, John & Deb were delighted to meet up with our full-time East African Marvel, Catherine, as well as national prayer co-ordinators Raphael Mhando, Samuel Kamoge, Innocent Yogusa and Steve Owino, all of whom visited us here in Rhondda last June.

In October 2008 the Rhondda Trust  threw their weight behind our plans to expand into Treorchy Comprehensive School, awarding a £15,000-a-year support grant for three years.
