Premises... & new contact information
In last month’s update I told you we’d located new premises but that the landlord was trying to make us responsible for everything including global warming! Well, guess what, your prayers made him relent! We got the lease we wanted, have signed it and moved in on Monday last week!! We've also included some pictures of the new place! For more info and our new contact details read this story! |

Passion; commitment; effort; determination; character!!!
Every one a requirement for kids desiring to be part of the outstanding Sporting Marvels All Star Programme and all shown in abundance by a particular group of All Stars from Tonypandy Community College . . . |

The Sporting Marvels “Big Event” programme has undergone a major overhaul for the 2009/2010 school year.
With Lawrie becoming Events Manager, the focus has changed to less events, more quality and more intensity. |

In our last two monthly updates, we’ve run samples from kids letters to Phil, saying “Thank You” for the Mighty Marvels Junior School programme. This time round we thought we’d focus on a few of things some of the headteachers are saying. The idea for the item were two unsolicited comments from Marion Roberts (headteacher at YGG Bodringallt) and Rhian Rees (Pontrhondda) - who just happen to be sisters by the way - about Angelo’s support of YGG’s totally un-Sporting Marvels related Prom Night! |

Life is pretty good for Jody Barnes.
Not everyone can say they’re working in their dream job, but as she drives the Valley all decked out in her Sporting Marvels kit, Jody can. And the amazing thing is, Jody is the fulfilment of someone else’s dream too: Phil’s! |

If you’re a history fan, you’ll remember General MacArthur. If you’re a movie buff, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Both, in their own style, coined the immortal phrase, “I’ll be back!” |
|
“Back to School!” - the kids may not want to hear it but to parents, it’s music to their ears!! |
|
Last month we ran a sample of what the kids participating in the Mighty Marvels junior schools programme were saying in their letters of appreciation to Phil. As promised, here’s another selection (SM = Sporting Marvels) |
|
And it’s not just the children raving about the Mighty Marvel junior schools programme; so are the government’s school inspectors! In the recent school inspection at Penygraig Juniors, the inspector sat in on one of Angelo’s sessions. |

When you look closely at photos like the one below right, you have to ask why or how can something like this come about? Let me explain.
