Lawrie Davies

Hello everyone......I’m Lawrie and I’m Team Leader at Sporting Marvels.

I didn’t start as Team Leader though......because back in 2007, I was part of Sporting Marvels first group of interns. Along the way, I’ve been a Trainee, a Mighty Marvels worker, a Comp worker and Events Manager!!

It’s been an amazing journey and it’s true to say that I’ve come along way!

I’m currently in the final year of a Law degree which I’m able to juggle with my responsibilities at Sporting Marvels because we have such a brilliant team that are so easy to manage!

I like to think I’m a genuine Sporting Marvel because of my proficiency in every sport on Earth, even the ones I haven’t tried yet! I’m also better than Jody at Table Tennis!   I currently play for Sporting Marvels FC along with Chris, Smithy and Owen, Becky’s husband......and I’m looking forward to helping the team deliver on its dream – to get to the Welsh League and play in Europe!

I love working at Sporting Marvels and I’m committed to helping us get a positive Christian role model in front of all the kids in Rhondda and to see every school......primary and comp......inside Sporting Marvels.

I also want to see loads more kids walk the same path Jody, Chelsea & Smithy have walked......from All-Star to Marvel......from being influenced to being an influencer!

2011’s been a fantastic year for all things Sporting Marvels and.....I can’t wait for everything we’ve got planned in 2012.

It’s gonna be an awesome year!!
