Chelsea Martin

 

Hi........I'm Chelsea and I love being a Mighty Marvels worker.

I work in 5 different primary schools all around the Rhondda and also help Jody with the All-Stars up in Ferndale. Whatever the age of the children, we always have loads of fun.

As a pupil at Tonypandy, I’d been involved with Sporting Marvels since the age of 11 and was greatly influenced by Kate Ritta, who’s American, and then by Becky Davies, who of course, is from Porth. I have so many great memories of what they did for me. They massively inputted my life in such a positive way and my aim now, is to do the same for all the girls I’m working with and help them live their dream the way that I’m living mine. 

In October 2009, I was one of the All-Stars on the trip to Tanzania. It changed my life; changed the way I think and was the pivotal moment really, where I knew I wanted to be a Marvel. I asked Becky to arrange a meeting with Phil and when he said I could start as soon as I left school, I wanted to scream I was so excited!

I want all the kids I work with to know that they’re AWESOME and can achieve all that they want to achieve!  

I love the Rhondda.......I love the schools and I love the kids.

And you know what? ........I love being a Marvel!
