Hi, I’m Becky......and I’m the Curriculum Manager for Sporting Marvels.

I’m a qualified primary school teacher but never wanted to be a teacher! I was given the chance to join Sporting Marvels after I graduated and started writing lesson plans for the Mighty Marvels programme.    Then......when Kate decided to go back to America, I became the female comp worker at Tonypandy Community College. I’ve been there five years now and absolutely love it!  Our All Stars are amazing!!

I count it a privilege that I am in the position I am......influencing young people to be the best they can be through relationships and through the character lessons we teach. 

I also love netball!! It’s a massive passion of mine. I love playing and this year, I helped set up two Sporting Marvels netball teams as well as a new Church League, which is going really well.     In school, I helped create the Rhondda Schools Netball League and it’s a dream of mine to see girl’s sport develop and grow in the Rhondda and become as high profile as boy’s sport. I’m confident that it will!

Being a Marvel is really awesome and like I said, writing the Mighty Marvels and the All-Star curriculums – both of which are influencing hundreds of young lives – is a real privilege.

Oh, and by the way......I’m 26, married to Owen and we have a dog called Archie!!
